About the

In the mid 80s, friend Julia Nickson was cast as the leading lady in Rambo: First Blood Part II.  For a celebration lunch, I made my first "Break a Leg" container.

A florist saw it and asked if I could make one that held 12 oz..  A lawyer copyrighted it for me and a graphic artist friend developed the fun logo and an award-winning brochure!  The Break a Leg mug was off and running!

My manufacturer and I went through hundreds of Break a Leg mugs as a fun cocktail container in a popular Honolulu bar.  They each came with a miniature pencil or sharpie and were signed or decorated on by their customers.  A favorite keepsake of mine is one signed by a young Whitney Houston, and initialed by her bass player at the time, Rickey Minor.  It was 1986 when her big hit was "How will I know".  I normally never ask for autographs, but it was offered and a sound man handed me a sharpie right away.  Thank goodness for him.

The Break a Leg mug has appeared on the desks of producers, stunt associations, ski enthusiasts, healthcare administrators, patients, party guests, entertainment professionals and event planners.  They are often signed and decorated by casts, creative teams and colleagues.  My favorite part of the entertainment business is making people happy and wishing them a great time.  I love to pass on this wish to you!
